We’re a team of computer scientists, engineers, economists, mathematicians, marketers, designers and project managers — and we’ve all made peace with the fact that we just really love data. At Mutt, you’ll find people who get excited about the elegance of a perfectly designed DAG, who debate the merits of MLflow vs. Airflow, and who genuinely enjoy translating complex business challenges into scalable technical solutions. From real-time ingestion pipelines to advanced ML applications, we thrive in high-complexity environments — and we have fun doing it. And while our backgrounds vary widely (former audio engineers, science communicators, hospital staff turned data devs), what unites us is this: a shared passion for learning, building, and being excellent to one another.

The Annual Mutters’ Trip (AMT)

Once a year we, close our laptops, and get together in real life to celebrate how far we’ve come and think about what’s next. It’s our biggest ritual — and the most unforgettable. It’s where remote becomes real, and work relationships turn into friendships.

After Office & Teambuildings: Keeping the Fun (and Bonds) Going

At Mutt, we love creating moments to enjoy together — and more and more mutters are asking for these spaces because they truly make a difference. 🙌 Every month we host an after-office at our central office in Buenos Aires. But remember, we’re remote-first: that means mutters in other provinces or even other countries can host their own after-hours too! 🍻 What’s mandatory? Having a great time — and then, of course, sharing some pictures 😄.

We also organize teambuildings, activities designed to step out of the routine, get to know each other better, and strengthen our bonds. These can be anything from games and workshops to outdoor activities or simply sharing a meal. During teambuilding experiences we also reflect on our work, how we do it, how it needs to be done, and we nurture our team dynamic which empowers us to collaborate better. What matters most is creating those moments that remind us we’re not just colleagues — we’re a team that enjoys working and having fun together. 🚀✨

Knowledge Sharing Moments

Data Office Hours (DOH)

Every week, Mutters get together (virtually) to share, learn, and nerd out on data, machine learning, and AI-related topics — but really, anyone at Mutt can host a Data Office Hour to share knowledge or talk about a subject they find interesting. For example, International Women’s Day had its Data Office Hour talk

Whether it’s a deep dive into SQLAlchemy, a debate over orchestration tools, or a panel on model monitoring, DOH is a safe space for curiosity. There’s no such thing as a dumb question. There is such a thing as too few memes. From newcomers to senior engineers, everyone brings something to the table. Sharing knowledge and learning from our colleagues are embodiments of our being #Datanerds and open Team players values. We make each other stronger together and together we grow. That’s what makes us big in the end.

Mutt4Good

Mutt4Good is Mutt’s division where Mutters combine their passion for data with the goal of making a positive impact in the community. Here, they learn to be flexible, adapt to different ways of working, and collaborate with people and organizations dedicated to helping others. Through Mutt4Good, we support non-profit organizations by providing data, analysis, and insights that help optimize their processes and inform more informed decisions, thereby amplifying the impact of their work.

Donuts: We Like Getting to Know Each Other (and Talking A Lot)

To keep our community close-knit, even across remote locations, we use Donuts — a fun way to pair Mutters for casual chats during the week randomly. It’s an easy way to meet teammates you might not have worked with before, share ideas, or just catch up over coffee (virtual or real!).

Slack Channels: Our Cultural Hubs

Our culture thrives in Slack, where collaboration and humor light up our workdays. We have many channels, but these are the fan favorites that really showcase our vibe:

• #meme-competition: We take memes seriously here — contests and prizes for the best reactions. Yes, we’re a little crazy, and that’s how we like it!
• #kudos: A public shout-out channel where we thank each other for help, great ideas, or just being awesome. Recognition is a key part of our culture.
