Our Hiring Process

All the steps, details, and tips you need to know before starting.

Stages:

1. Sourcing and application

We take a proactive approach to talent attraction through employer branding and active searches on Linkedin. Candidates can also apply directly throughout our Lever ATS.

2. Introduction Meeting with the Talent Team

Before the first call, we share documents with candidates about our company, process, and benefits so they can be informed and prepared. We want to get to know the candidates and for them to get to know us. If your profile meets the job requirements, our team will contact you to schedule a meeting. In this interview, we like to start by learning about candidatesโ€™ experience, skills, interests, and goals. But we always set aside some time for the candidate to ask us questions too! We encourage applicants to take this opportunity to clear any doubts, whether it is about our projects, values, culture, or our way of working. We have a lot to share!

3. Technical Interview

If you advance to this stage, you'll have the opportunity to meet with a team member. The interview will focus on your skills, experiences, and learnings, and it will be a great chance to learn more about the role and ask any questions you may have. Depending on the position, you might receive a case study before the interview, which we will review together.

4. Assessment

You may be asked to complete a takeaway assessment (tailored to the specific position). In most cases, we provide a 5-day period for you to complete it. The goal is for the candidate to get a sense of the type of work theyโ€™d be doing in the role theyโ€™re applying for.

5. Cultural Interview

This meeting tests the candidate's compatibility with our values and culture. The goal is to find people who thrive in an environment with shared beliefs. It is a key stage in getting to know the candidate and allowing them to demonstrate their soft skills, honesty, and personality. We encourage a relaxed, open approach and welcome questions. We value enthusiasm and curiosity!

6. Proposal Call

The timeline for final decisions may vary depending on the position, but we strive to maintain candidates informed with timely and clear communications.
If the outcome is positive, we'll move forward to arrange a meeting to discuss a offer together.

The Referral Program: Our Secret sauce for finding top talent

For us, it's crucial to hire the top talent that best aligns with our values and culture, increasing the likelihood of long-term retention. Hence, we've implemented a referral program, enabling our employees to easily recommend potential candidates. When a Mutter makes a referral, we encourage them to first chat with the candidate and share their own experience at Mutt. This way candidates can hear about our projects and culture straight from the people they'd be working with.
